Matt Marinchick signs Nashville record deal
Century Music Group (CMG) is excited to announce the signing of Country music artist, Matt Marinchick.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this label,” says Marinchick. “I’m excited for my future and can’t wait to get in the studio with my songs!”
Marinchick’s style of Country music pulls from the roots of the traditional and blends with the energy of the modern. Primarily performing self-penned compositions, Marinchick says, “I try to find the bright side of things. There’s a lot of hope in my songs.”
A native of Ohio, Marinchick moved to Nashville in the summer of 2011 to pursue a Country music career. Upon arrival, Marinchick recorded his self-titled debut album, which set his music career in motion. This album enabled him to line up gigs at prominent venues across the region and co-writing sessions with some of Nashville’s most prolific songwriters.
The experience and practice of regularly performing on stage began to bring Marinchick high praise and recognition, which eventually grabbed the attention of CMG label co-founders, Jamie Tate and Art Ward. “Matt is the whole package,” says Ward. “…a talented singer, a strong songwriter, a skilled musician, an eager, hard working over-achiever, and a real go-getter. You can’t go wrong with an artist like that.”
Marinchick learned early on that hard work and dedication pave the road to success in life. At 6’10″, he earned a 4 year, full basketball scholarship to Ohio State University and then moved on to play 6 successful seasons professionally in Europe including time in the Bundesliga, the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany.
Expect Matt Marinchick’s new album with Century Music Group to be released mid-2013.
